Make Plans to Attend Your Annual Meeting
I hope everyone is planning on attending and enjoying the Chamber’s Annual Meeting next week. If you need incentive, I’ll say 2 words, mac & cheese….There are lots of other reasons to attend other than the food as well. We will have the chance to honor Jim Price. Jim is serving in his 2nd go around as Chamber chair as covid got in the way of his first time around and Jim’s leadership has been so appreciated this year.
This has been a year of physical improvement for the chamber with much outside cleaning, pressure washing and painting as well as new carpet, flooring, and other improvements inside the chamber as well. These things are often overlooked but Jim has an eye for detail and these much needed upgrades have helped our office stay in top shape.
We will also welcome in Susie Cox, president of TCAT, as our incoming chair and look forward to working with her over the next year. We see the upcoming year as a year of growth for business and industry and will likely put a large focus on continued infrastructure and workforce development as we continue to focus on the building blocks of success. Our community has been very fortunate over the years to be very successful in the recruitment and retention of business and industry and it is incumbent on us to keep the needed infrastructure in place to see continued success.
We have a great speaker lined up who has been an educational leader in the region and has also been invited to speak to the leaders of many fortune 50 companies mixing southern humor with lessons about leadership and business success.
