We Can Keep You Busy This Summer!
As summer begins and kids and grand kids begin to run wild be sure to take advantage of the many offerings in our community for recreation and entertainment. The quickest way to fun is our event listing through the Morristown Chamber Tourism Department at https://visitmorristowntn.com/events/. I think the only thing you can’t do in Morristown is swim with dolphins, but I’m sure as this article prints, the Facebook crowd will be out in force about a new development on the lake including a Super Target that offers swimming with dolphins.
Seriously though, our community is blessed with 18 city, county and state parks as well as Morristown Landing that is offering multiple camps and classes for kids and adults alike. The City of Morristown Parks and Rec Department is offering summer concerts along with our monthly Chamber of Commerce Concerts on the Green in Downtown Morristown. A nice upcoming event will be Hamblen County’s Independence Day Celebration at Cherokee Park featuring Mark Chestnutt. If you are Goin’ Through the Big D and it is Too Cold at Home, don’t resort to Shooting Jukeboxes but come out to Cherokee Park on July 3rd for a fun day of family fun!
This list could go for days, and I’m sure someone will say…but I wanted to rock climb. Well, you can do that too at Morristown Landing and with young kids, I did my research. Morristown Landing’s prices on climbing for an hour is $40 cheaper than the next lowest regional option. Our community is filled with fun and bargains if you are willing to get out and explore!
