Retirement Good Wishes to Pat
As fall break for our kids creeps upon us, we are starting to feel that chill in the morning air. This time of year is wonderful for us Tennessee football fans (some years) but is a somewhat bittersweet time at the Chamber. Pat Seaver has retired from her position as Director of Sales & Marketing, after 12 years at the Chamber. Pat is the face that many of you interact with on your membership, ribbon cuttings, break-fast meetings along with many other programs and events. Pat is ready for her 2nd retirement and ready to travel!
It is hard to explain how easy our staff makes my life by being such professionals at what they do every day. It is different from many organizations who have a “top down” management structure because at the Chamber, we are all on equal footing and each individual is responsible for their duties without mi-cromanaging or heavy oversight from me.
In many of your businesses, you may not be that fortunate; you may have a few that need that extra “coaching”, but I’m so lucky here to have a staff with careers of professional experience to back up their Chamber work. I still feel like the student every day in the office as I learn so much from our team!
