Back to School Safe and Unified
As school begins, I know many of us are elated to see our children back in the classroom. I’m sure there will be lots of “mom and dad aren’t your teacher anymore” lessons this week and I’m sure that is for the better. Our children are going through an odd and possibly frightening time for them right now as they fight an unseen challenge. Please be supportive of our students, teachers and school system now as decisions must change daily and we trust our schools to take care of our community’s most important asset, our children. These children are our future leaders, teachers, doctors and elected officials. Our reaction to this time of crisis will shape their reactions to challenges for the rest of their lives. It is important to stand strong as a unified community and be leaders to those around us. Set good examples when no one else does. Make the unpopular decisions if needed. Remember, Morristown is a community undivided by race, color or gender. Our people are divided into 2 categories, leaders and followers. Followers divide them-selves by race, color and gender.
