Tickets are going fast for the Chamber’s 108th Annual Meeting, but seats are still available for the November 15 (Thursday) event.
The Chamber is honored to have as special guest speaker, Vallie Smith Collins. Val-lie was a passenger on US Airways Flight 1549 that landed in New York’s Hudson River on January 15, 2009. She will share the details of her experience during the flight and rescue of the event that has become known as the ‘Miracle on the Hudson’. In addition, she will share key learn-ings from the experience that will hopefully inspire and motivate all to treasure each and each day be-cause ‘everyday is a lucky day’!
In addition to the guest speaker, 2018 Chamber Chairman Chris Horn will discuss the accomplishments and activities of the Chamber during the year. Incoming Chairman of the Board Keith Andrews with Tuff Torq Corporation will present his goals for 2019.
Other highlights of the Annual meeting are the presentation of two very special awards and the recogni-tion of the 2018 Leadership Morristown Class. The Ambassador of the Year Award will be presented to the outstanding Chamber Ambassador for 2018. The R. Jack Fishman Community Service Award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated “outstanding commitment to the betterment of the community in which we live and work.” The twenty-one participants in Leadership Morristown 2018 will receive their graduation certificates and a gift from the Chamber.
The Annual Meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. (Doors open at 5:30) and returns to a familiar venue—the Gymnasium at Walters State Community College, Morristown campus. All seats are reserved.
